Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Zakat & Tax Officer to join our team. The Zakat & Tax Officer will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with all Zakat and tax policies and regulations. This includes accurate and timely filing of all tax returns, maintaining records, and coordinating with relevant authorities.

Job Responsibility:
– Assess and analyze financial data to calculate Zakat and tax obligations accurately.
– Prepare and submit all required Zakat and tax returns in a timely manner.
– Maintain Zakat and tax records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and audit requirements.
– Stay up-to-date with changes in Zakat and tax laws and regulations, and communicate any updates or changes to the relevant departments and team members.
– Assist in allocated budget and ensure all taxes are considered in financial planning processes.
– Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues or inquiries related to Zakat and tax matters.
– Provide advice and guidance to the management and relevant departments on Zakat and tax planning and savings opportunities.
– Participate in Zakat and tax audits and provide necessary support and documentation as required.
– Monitor and review Zakat and tax-related contracts, agreements, and transactions to ensure adherence to regulations.

Candidate Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
– Certified Zakat and Tax professional is preferred.
– Proven experience in Zakat and tax compliance in a similar role.
– Strong knowledge of Zakat and tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
– Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate calculations and reporting.
– Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
– Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and provide guidance.
– Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
